today, I went to an outlet and found a damn GALAXY sheer collared long-sleeve, so I instantly thought of hipsters and tumblr and I went in the dressing room to try it on

and it looked pretty bad and it was $50

REJECTED

it had potential but it just wasn’t right

Today, I visited a used bookstore with my aunt in the hopes of finding a decent Chinese/Thai cookbook to supply us with some good eatin’ and yes, that mission was fulfilled, but I just want to talk about how I found the place surprisingly charming and how I found the most fantastic book ever! (well I haven’t read much of it, but I can just tell that this is just really great)

sometimes I feel like I’m getting along with my mom, but something then happens later on that reminds me that lately, I usually don’t.

In a way, I’m not looking forward to the day when it’s just me and my mom living in our own place as opposed to with family right now.

Tomorrow, I’m going to my new high school with my mom to meet with a counselor! I’m keeping my fingers crossed and holding my breath until they officially tell me I’m a junior! (junior year take two)

That’s what I’m hoping for, I guess for the rather illegitimate reason that I feel too young to be a senior. I’ve only had two years of high school so far, considering I went from 8th to Sophomore year when I moved to Manila. Now that I’m starting fresh here in New Jersey, I’d like to have two years here to cozy up rather than just have my first and last year be Senior year as a new student.

I seriously need to make up for my inadequate high school performance… I’m planning on ~trying my best once the new school year starts! I don’t even want to talk about how worried I am for college and how unimpressive my record has been ugh

OH AND I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY MY MOM AGREED TO MEET AT 8:30 AM whyy whyy whyyy

I saw Thor today and it was really good! The theatre was empty - sweet benefit of being a sixteen-year-old girl that doesn’t have to go to school yet. There was something attractive about Thor, something about a big burly God of Thunder you know who takes charge. I also didn’t mind the part in the movie where his shirt was off…

see, even Natalie Portman is turned on when he’s being all charming.

And I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on DVD today and ugh, my tears still nearly spilled when Dobby died, that precious little house elf )’:

isn’t it ironic that we spend one fourth of our lives trying to look older than we actually are and spend the other three fourths trying to look more youthful

did you guys know I worry about looking like a little girl when I start ~american high school because some of them look freakin’ old in my eyes, you know? i guess in general, i think about how I don’t have the teenager vibes that radiate from going to school here. i can’t even put to words exactly what I’m trying to say so I’ll just leave it at that.

tonight was a good night because

• i watched the graham norton show which made me LOL
• awkward c-section/boobs talk
• laughing and squealing and talking about my aunt’s ghost experiences and how she would rather we not talk about it because it might ~summon her childhood ghosts or something, oh god that was funny 
• talked to my grandparents on the phone and laughed at my grandmother completely ignoring me sputtering out some lie about going on a date in between my conspicuous laughter - she just kept talking about something else
• the last of the snickerdoodles was consumed (actually, this is kind of sad)
